MANGUPURA – Guru dalam bahasa Indonesia berarti orang yang mengajar, dalam bahasa sansekerta guru berasal dari penggabungan dua kata yaitu Gu dan Ru, yang berarti kegelapan dan cahaya. Dari hal itu dapat diartikan guru merupakan pemberi cahaya (ilmu pengetahuan) untuk menerangi kegelapan (kebodohan).
Guru adalah seorang tenaga pendidik profesional yang bertugas mendidik, mengajarkan, membimbing, melatih, menilai, dan mengevaluasi peserta didik. Guru juga berperan penting dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan nilai-nilai moral.
Begitu pentingnya peran guru, maka pada setiap tanggal 25 November dirayakan sebagai hari guru nasional untuk mengenang jasa-jasa guru dalam memberikan pendidikan dengan tulus dan penuh kasih sayang kepada murid-muridnya.
Perayaan hari guru tahun 2024 juga dirayakan dengan sangat hikmat di SD No 4 Sading. Para siswa dan siswi sangat antusias mengikuti acara ini, menggunakan pakaian putih merah, para siswa dan siswi SD No 4 sading mengikuti upacara bendera dalam rangka peringatan hari guru dan sekaligus peringatan HUT PGRI 2024 dengan semangat.
Keseruan acara hari guru di SD No 4 Sading kemudian berlanjut ke acara potong kue yang diikuti oleh segenap warga sekolah dipimpin langsung oleh Ibu Kepala Sekolah SD No 4 Sading.
Dalam acara tersebut Ibu Kepala Sekolah menyampaikan pentingnya integritas sebagai pendidik karena guru menjadi teladan bagi peserta didik dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai etika serta menanamkan jiwa mandiri pada murid.
Tak lupa Ibu Kepala Sekolah juga menyampaikan selamat hari guru kepada Ibu dan Bapak guru di SD No 4 Sading.
